celebrating margaret sherry

Margaret was an exceptional illustrator with a unique ability to imprint emotion and humour into all of her beloved characters. I have always admired her strength, strive for perfection and focus to succeed. She was the most caring, loving and funny person I knew, and I had the ultimate honour of calling her Mum. Being born in 1945, she’d tell stories of being a post-war baby with very few toys. So, from an early age, she would use her natural drawing talents to create her own entertainment. She loved school and learning, and she loved to draw classrooms and cut out pupils that she could create stories with. One of my treasured possessions is a classroom she made for me when I was five. When Margaret left school, she studied illustration, believing…
