‘As soon as you accept who you are, your life will change.’ So says Em Ford, the beauty b logger and acne sufferer challenging the online bullies who have hounded her with abuse. She spoke exclusively to Grazia on page 26 after her film encouraging women to reclaim their confidence has had over 11 million views. It comes at a time when women are making their voices heard in so many arenas – actress Ruby Rose’s short film examining gender identity, Always’ Unstoppable ad (following on from the success of their Like A Girl campaign)and not for getting the incredible England women’s football team (see ‘Are we taking sexism too seriously?’ on page 43). The beauty of being a woman today is that we get to define our own path – career,…

lily’s torment

BACK IN DECEMBER, LILY ALLEN revealed to Grazia that she had given up drinking to try and ‘grow up finally’. Even as recently as three weeks ago, her close friends were saying the singer had quit the booze and appeared so much happier. So it came as a huge surprise last week when pictures emerged of the star semiconscious in a VIP area at Glastonbury last month. Lying face down on the grass at around 9pm, Lily was seen being attended to by paramedics before her husband, Sam Cooper, drove her away. At the time of going to press, Lily had yet to comment herself, and instead took to Instagram to post a cryptic picture of a phone case saying, ‘Well noted And Thanks’ with the caption, ‘And thanks #naptime’, followed by…

chart of lust

1 NEW IN Dustin Brown His Wimbledon run may have come to an end in the third round, but let there be no doubt: he won outright, without question, in terms of fitness. 2 NON-MOVER Vanessa Paradis just being generally her, at the Chanel couture show, which is pretty much exactly how we’d like to be. If only she’d give lessons… 3 NON-MOVER Emilia Clarke More usually known as Daenerys Targaryen of GOT, currently known as Sarah Connor of Terminator Genisys; the best thing the red carpet is delivering this week. 4 NEW IN Danielle Lineker Funny fitty –and she taught CoL the international hand signals for Going Up and Goin Down, with ref to this very chart. 5 UP Damon Albarn Was eventually carried off a Roskilde festival stage after refusing to end a five-hour set. CoL salutes that longevity, and all it…

1 fashion takes a bow

NOBODY EVER SAID haute couture was accessible. quite the opposite: it’s aimed at only a thousand-odd women in the world inclined to spend six-figure sums on a garment cut, sewn and embroidered entirely by hand. And so it made sense that the Valentino designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli flew some 800 guests from Paris – where the other great houses showed their autumn/winter 2015 couture collections and where this label normally closes – to Rome, hometown of both designers and, indeed, of the Italian name. The idea was to show visitors not only the collection, unveiled in front of the newly renovated and splendid Valentino headquarters in Piazza Mignanelli, in the shadow of the Spanish Steps, but also the opening of a new Valentino flagship store – the biggest…
