Another view of our stunning cover house — and Genevieve Makinson’s approach to fearless decorating.”You’re going to love this,” was the subject line of an email I got back in January from Stacey Smithers, one of our senior design editors. She’d just scouted a house and couldn’t wait to share the shots. With a quick double-click, I could see why. The rooms had energy, confidence and an undeniable cool factor — a Rorschach-esque wallpaper by Eskayel in the powder room, a period French sofa paired with a trendy Gubi Beetle chair in the living room, lipstick-red stools in the kitchen... A white coffee table sits in Michelle Lloyd Bermann and David Bermann’s gorgeous living room in “Endless Summer.” I own a console with the same lines and have been asked many times what style of furniture this is. Can you help?— LINDA SMITHMichelle Lloyd Bermann’s reply: The table is from the ’60s, l believe, and I purchased it in Toronto. It’s linenwrapped and overpainted — a look that was popular in both the ’60s and ’70s. It’s similar to the work of famous furniture designer Karl Springer, but the shape has a bit of a Dorothy Draper look to it, too (she was a designer popular in the 1930s and ’40s). Hopefully…
