Road trips – do you love them? I do, always have – it’s the unique combo of music, car snacks and conversations that meander in a way that they don’t when you’re squeezed into a cafe. The majority of my road trips currently involve driving to my parents’ home on the NSW south coast. The payoff is long, lazy afternoons in their sun-drenched garden. A little while back, I was lucky enough to be able to pretend it was necessary for me to go on a little road trip to our cover home, which is near Oberon, NSW. And didn’t we have a lovely time? (I mostly carried rugs and stopped Coco the pug from eating our lunch.) In fact, the home is owned by a familiar face in Inside Out .…

breathing spaces

We shape our homes and places of work with every object we choose to put in them. This also goes for what we choose to leave out. And when our spaces change and grow, so do our lives. To help you make the most of the areas you live in, and explore the potential that an active family life offers, the Toyota Prius v provides plenty of space for adventure by seating up to seven occupants. It also has touchscreen audio with Bluetooth® phone and music connectivity, plus the Prius v i Tech® has intuitive satellite navigation* for road trips long or short. Planning a day by the ocean or park gym session? The third row seats fold flat to accommodate your beach and workout gear. Make the most of the…

hanging planters

Capra Designs ‘Diamond’ planter DESIGNERS: Bianca Lambert & Thomas Wilson Melbourne-based duo Bianca and Tom were both designers and makers before forming Capra Designs. Bianca began with a fashion label, while Tom’s carpentry background saw him tinkering with furniture. “This passion for designing and creating is one of our common interests,” says Bianca. “My obsession with plants led us to where we are today.” The pair is dedicated to ensuring their homewares are “produced with a conscience”.
