news & product innovations The Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts recently announced the winners of its first Tahitian Pearl Jewelry Design Contest, which was open to all graduates of the academy. Entrants were asked to create original designs using natural Tahitian pearls. The contest was open to all present and past students of the Revere Academy in order to stimulate and encourage creativity. The entries were judged along four criteria — design, craftsmanship, originality, and marketability. The use of organic Tahitian pearls also offered students an opportunity to focus on green, sustainable designs. The contest was divided into two categories — jewelry over $1000 and jewelry under $1000 retail, with cash awards for the top three entries in each category as well as an overall grand prize.
