Geophonse Mabiala, a Congolese man employed as a fire marshal on a valid asylum seeker temporary permit, was awarded the order in the Western Cape High Court. Moos, 45, died after anaesthetic for a minor procedure in Stellenbosch, a family spokesperson said. “The family can confirm that their beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and son – Ainsley Moos – died suddenly and unexpectedly yesterday evening (January 31) of complications following an anaesthetic for a minor procedure to his mouth at a day clinic in Stellenbosch,” the family said. THE SA Social Security Agency (Sassa) has remained mum on its plans with Postbank, following several incidents of "system glitches" that left beneficiaries scrambling when their payments were late over the past two months. Over 4 000 grant beneficiaries were affected by late payments last month, when they attempted to withdraw money either at the ATM or retailers. In December, millions of beneficiaries using the Sassa gold card faced similar issues. Postbank said the issues in December were due to glitches in its system, and trying to prevent cyber security breaches. London: Owners of luxury flats in London yesterday won a legal battle to force the adjacent Tate Modern gallery to stop visitors peeping into their homes from a public viewing platform. THE South African Medical Association (Sama) has laid charges against Pretoria general practitioner Dr Petrus Bekker with the Health Professions Council (HPCSA) after he called his colleagues murderers for administering Covid-19 vaccines. Bekker, an author and medical practitioner who operates from Wesmed Medical Centre in Pretoria North, claimed during a radio interview that people were left with health problems after vaccinations. LAGOS: Nigeria’s human rights commission has appointed a special panel whose role will include investigating a report that the military ran a secret abortion programme in its fight against Islamist insurgents in the north-east.
