International: New Zealand steers and cows traded flat at NZ$583/head and NZ$412/head respectively. US beef traded as follows: topside lower at US$302,47/cwt, rump higher at US$457,73/cwt, strip loin higher at US$665,51/cwt, chuck slightly higher at US$305,29/cwt, and brisket slightly higher at US$260,35/cwt. The carcass price was US$367,38/cwt. Tightening meat supplies in top consuming nations such as the US and China are boosting the global outlook for beef.
Domestic: Local prices increased. The different meat classes traded as follows: the Class A price increased 0,23% to R34,75/kg, Class B increased 4,11% to R31,13/kg, and Class C rose 3,21% to R29,30/kg.
