If the last few years are anything to go by, prisoners could very well outperform regular citizens out of prison. Last year, prisoners achieved a higher pass rate than citizens out of prison, with a pass rate of almost 90%. In 2020, prisoners also outperformed regular students by achieving a higher national pass rate. The life of a driver of Tshwane Bus Services (TBS) came under threat in the early hours of yesterday morning when he was held at gunpoint by an unknown perpetrator who also ordered commuters to get off the bus before setting it alight in Olievenhoutbosch.
