I chanced upon an old newspaper advertisement published in 1977, part of an exhibition in SPH News Centre featuring a selection of print ads from the 1960s-1990s period.
According to the ad that caught my eye, “more men are using Brylcreem than any other hairdressing because it looks better, feels better, smells better, is better.”
Okaaay. I guess these classic advantages of creamy hair cream on unkempt hair can also apply to cars. If a car looks, feels and smells better than another, it is probably a better vehicle.
But just to be sure, we also check the creaminess of the cars when we compare them (pg 36, pg 48 and pg 72).…
