LINDA: ’Tis the season for gift-giving! Jody, what’s the best sewing gift you’ve received? JODY: Well, the best sewing gift I ever got was a quilt my great-aunt Gertrude made for my mom. It was the quilt that inspired me to start quilting in 1989. My mom gave me the quilt a couple years ago because she knows how much it means to me. What about you? LINDA: It’s difficult to choose: The sewing machine in college allowed me to pursue sewing once I flew the nest, the long-arm showed that my family supported my passion for quilting, and the serger meant that even my sweetheart understood what fueled my creativity.
