INGREDIENTS MAKES 12 SERVINGS Cake 2 cups all-purpose flour2 tsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda2 tsp cinnamon½ tsp ground cloves½ tsp salt¼ tsp pepper3 eggs1 cup brown sugar½ cup granulated sugar1 cup pumpkin puree⅓ cup olive oil1 cup buttermilk1 cup grated peeled carrots1 cup grated peeled red apples Frosting 1 250 g pkg cream cheese, softened½ cup unsalted butter, softened1 cup brown sugar2 tsp vanilla Pinch salt2 cups icing sugar (approximately) Candied Nuts 3 tbsp butter¼ cup pumpkin seeds¼ cup sliced almonds¼ cup chopped pecans2 tbsp brown sugar¼ tsp salt¼ cup maple syrup DIRECTIONS Cake Preheat oven to 350°F.
