spring brights

Put a spring in a loved one’s step with a gorgeous double slider card. The base card contains two concealed panels that can be pulled out to reveal a surprise character or stamped sentiment inside. To create the sliding element, use the template on p85 to create a double slider base, then wrap a band of plastic around the grooves, which allows the two panels to be pulled out simultaneously. Clare has crafted these colourful designs using the All Four Seasons stamp set from Clearly Besotted, which contains lots of adorable characters that can be stamped and coloured. She paired the stamps with the Over the Rainbow paper pad from My Favorite Things to create fun-filled designs that are perfect for birthdays and more. Once you’ve got the hang of creating a double…

Special spaniels As soon as I saw the Pawfect Pals cover gift, I dropped everything to create a birthday card for my husband. We have two Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Bruce and Roxy, so I coloured the two spaniels to resemble our dogs. Thanks for a great gift! Tina Lowery, Shrewsbury Hayley says: We’re glad you like the gift so much, Tina – your colouring pencil strokes make the doggies look so lifelike! Be the first to send us a photo of a card you’ve made using this month’s gift and you could win a mystery craft prize!…

“I love hearing your crafting stories and seeing your wonderful cards, so please write in and share them with me!” Advent surprise As soon as I saw the Advent calendar book project in issue 202 of Cardmaking & Papercraft I knew that I had to make them for my grandchildren. I gathered all of my Christmas papers and snippets from my stash to get the job done. It took me several days to make 96 boxes, die cut the numbers and names of the four children and put everything together to create the four books. I made the book covers using grey cardboard and covered them with festive-patterned fabric then filled the boxes with chocolates and small surprises. I gave them to my grandchildren on the first day of Advent and they…
