The Versys is the most upright member of Kawasaki’s Z family, which includes the naked Z1000 and the more conventional Z1000SX sports tourer. They’re all built around a 1043cc inline four - though where the SX spits out a hearty 140bhp, the Versys is retuned for a smoother, less peaky 118bhp. The first Versys 1000 had slightly challenging styling but this model, introduced in 2015, has a more conventional twin-headlight look.
