Gripping finale On 7 October, the final part of A Confession on ITV concluded the series with 4.7m viewers, up on the 4.6m who tuned in to the first episode. It easily beat BBC1’s Celebrity MasterChef, which drew 3.3m. Wall falls EastEnders’ Danny Dyer’s new BBC1 quiz show The Wall on 12 October drew in 3.8m viewers, but failed spot. Best known for … Leah played vet Zoe Tate in Emmerdale from 1989 until 2005. Zoe was the first lesbian character on a British soap, coming out in 1993, and left in a blaze of glory after blowing up Home Farm. Other achievements… Leah appeared in A Touch of Frost in 2010, playing a young criminal’s mother in a two-part episode. She had three guest roles in Doctors between 2007 and 2011, and also appeared in Casualty 1907, The Royal Today and Judge John Deed. Family life…. Leah died on 29 September, aged 55, after a three-year battle with lung cancer. She’s survived by her two daughters and her partner, Jez Hughes.…

Location, location, location… Thousands of British troops are trapped at Dunkirk, yet Jonah Hauer-King (Harry) and the cast actually filmed on St Annes Beach near Blackpool.
