You could be forgiven for thinking that Linden Lancaster has been sewing since an early age, but she hasn’t. “When we were young, my mother used to sew on a Singer treadle machine, which we called ‘Sweary Mary’. Needless to say, I never went anywhere near it!” Linden relates. In fact, she started sewing and quilting when her children were babies as “a way of escape.
