Staff writer CAPE TOWN residents and interested parties have been invited to comment on the City’s Draft Film Policy, 2021, which seeks to position Cape Town as a globally competitive film destination.
The Draft Film Policy, 2021 will replace the City’s Film Policy and Protocol, 2004, and looks to promote Cape Town as renowned for the quality and variety of its world-class locations, studios, facilitation companies and specialised crew.
“It will also guide the City of Cape Town on how to work with role- players to build a film industry that contributes to City objectives, such as economic growth, job creation and social inclusivity in Cape Town,” the City said.
