MEAT PRICES MIXED
International: New Zealand steers and cows traded 1,48% and 3,36% higher at NZ$480/head and NZ$308/head respectively. US prices were mostly higher: topside was 2,74% lower at US$244,87/cwt, rump was 4,14% higher at US$365,38/cwt, strip loin was 0,03% higher at US$557,16/cwt, chuck traded 0,76 higher at US$280,29/cwt, and brisket traded 4% higher at US$233,64/cwt. In New Zealand, higher levels of early slaughterings are supporting prices due to limited stock.
Domestic: Local prices were slightly lower due to an improved slaughtering rate. Class A prices were 0,59% higher at R37,45/kg and Class C prices were 0,54% higher at R31,66/kg.
