We all love soaps. That’s why I’m sat here typing this and you’re sat reading it (well, I hope you’re sitting down – Inside Soap really is designed to be enjoyed while sitting, so do try to if you possibly can). But sometimes our soaps can make us a little mad. Maybe a storyline doesn’t go the way we want, or there’s one plot or character that we just can’t stand, and it ruins the whole episode for us. There can also be times where people question if soaps are sending out the correct message when they tackle certain plots, or if they portray scenes that shouldn’t be seen in the early evening. Gangster Aidan’s reign of terror in Albert Square comes to a heart-stopping conclusion this week, as he and Mick face off in a furious showdown that sees Mick plotting cold-blooded murder! As the Mill development lake begins to be drained, panicked Phelan is forced to pull murder victims Andy and Vinny out of their watery graves before their bodies are discovered. After dragging them out of the lake, he eventually manages to drop the corpses into the foundations of the development, where they are submerged beneath the rapidly setting concrete.
