The Dis-Chem Foundation is once again running its Million Comforts Campaign, in collaboration with the Imbumba Foundation’s Caring4Girls project, to provide sanitary products every year to teenage girls in need.
The foundation said the campaign, which has been running since 2015, is devoted to the empowerment of schoolgirls, raising awareness about women’s health, and giving these girls the opportunity to continue their education without the burden of hygiene risks, discomfort, embarrassment or the loss of dignity.
In 2021, the Million Comforts Campaign reached a target of 10 million sanitary pads from donations, and the goal this year is to do the same.
