Toshiba and WD to reconcile their memory business Toshiba Corp. recently announced that the company and Western Digital Corp. have come to an agreement to cancel their ongoing litigation regarding flash memory business and invest in Yokkaichi memory plant for manufacturing next-generation memory chips. Toshiba had decided to sell the memory business in order to avoid insolvency and go into delisting from the First Section of the Tokyo Stock. Western Digital was against the deal and filed a lawsuit to stop the sell-out. If the dispute were to prolong, WD would have lost the source of procurement of latest memory chips. An addition to Olympus’ M.Zuiko PRO series Olympus Corporation recently announced the launch of two new lenses in its M.Zuiko PRO series — M.Zuiko Digital ED 17mm f/1.2 PRO (35mm equivalent: 34mm) and M.Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f/1.2 PRO (35mm equivalent: 90mm). The new Micro Four Thirds System standard lenses deliver both beautiful feathered bokeh at maximum aperture of f/1.2 and outstanding resolution. These two new lenses combine with the currently available M.Zuiko Digital ED 25mm f/1.2 PRO (35mm equivalent: 50mm) to form the f/1.2 prime lens series line-up.
