THE CHRISTMAS 1925 supplement to the Charleston Bulletin, the daily newspaper produced by the teenage Julian and Quentin Bell that recorded life at their Sussex farmhouse, carried an irreverent portrait of the boys’ father, Clive Bell. Zoffany’s new collection of wallcoverings for autumn presents an intriguing contrast between old and new. The creative duo behind Palladio’s original launch in the 1950s, Roger and Robert Nicholson are celebrated with six designs chosen from their archive.
