When we all look at preventing horrendous mass murders and realize how many of the perpetrators have given off warning signals, “red flag” orders, which immediately deprive them of guns, seem like a good idea. Sometimes called ERPOs (Extreme Risk Protection Orders), or less commonly GVROs (Gun Violence Restraining Orders), these allow police to immediately confiscate all firearms from an individual that someone else claims is dangerous.
