There is so much happening in the world these days, it’s kind of overwhelming. And recently I learned that someone I once was very close to passed away. We had parted ways many moons ago, but it was a shock and got me thinking of days gone by. I cooked so many meals for him and still remember how excited he was for me when I decided to shift gears and go to culinary school. Upon hearing the news, my solace came by getting into the kitchen. It grounded me so that I could process things. What spoke to me? Comfort food (’tis the season for it, after all). While I hope none of you are heading to your kitchens for a similar reason, comfort food fills so many spaces…
