They say good things come in pairs – and in this case it is a mother and daughter pair! Desley and her daughter, Zoe, work together to create beautiful bracelets, necklaces, chokers and memory wire pieces. Each is strking in its use of colour, and the textures from this type of bead work is abundant. Zoe in particular likes to make the kumihimo bracelets and some of the memory wire bracelets. Kumihimo is a Japanaese form of braidmaking where cords and ribbons are made by interlacing strands and the term means ‘gathered threads’. Zoe also makes leather choker necklaces in bright colours that she sells to friends.
