keep pushing

THIS PAST YEAR HAS HIT a lot of us in a pretty bad way, either through the loss of loved ones and/or financially. That has meant a lot of adjustment in our daily lives and routines. While it’s been tough, one positive is that we have a newfound sense of appreciation for what we do have. But then there’s the lack of shows. Yeah, that’s sucked. If you’re lucky enough, you’ve still got your project truck to keep you sane. That being said, a lot of our projects have seen some serious downtime as of late, but there are more ways to enjoy it than just tossing money at it. In fact, some of the biggest strides you can make in your project involves throwing some good old-fashioned elbow grease into…

torqstorm supercharger kits and accessory drives

TORQSTORM HAS REVEALED WHAT IS likely to be the industry’s first complete supercharger kits and accessories for Ford engines. Named Plus, these new kits introduce convenience that includes a Sanden air conditioning compressor, Turn One power steering pump and Powermaster alternator. Though “Plus” versions upgrade TorqStorm’s single supercharger kits, the company’s twin systems have incorporated these accessories since their inception. The Plus, however, is a separate and independent series and cannot be added to a single system. Plus kits provide two serpentine belts, an eight-rib pulley to drive the supercharger, and a six-rib to impel the accessories and all necessary parts, including custom-designed crank pulley, two self-adjusting tensioners, a blow-off valve, hat, and air filter plus mounting brackets and fasteners. Available in natural alloy or black anodized finish, TorqStorm Plus kits are available…

fatman fab rear lowering kit for ’65-’79 trucks

NEED AN EASY WAY TO LOWER THE REAR AXLE OF YOUR ’65-’79 FORD PICKUP? THIS newest design by Fatman Fabrications will drop the truck 5 inches in the back, using the original axle, without any welding necessary. A special bracket allows the axle to be shifted to the top side of the stock rear leaf springs, and a new pair of proper length shocks are bolted to special axle brackets. The frame rail does need to have clearance cut for the “C” in the frame reinforcement plate, which bolts in place to finish the job, providing vertical clearance for the repositioned axle. Normal weights can still be carried, and this kit won’t weigh down your wallet too much! Check it out with the Fatman tech staff at 704-545-0369 or visit www.fatmanfab.com.…

lucky 13

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO win this 1969 Ford F-100 that’s been completely customized by Lucky 7 Speed Shop? That’s just what happened to Gene Moberly while attending the first Goodguys National Car Show in Kentucky. Gene was showing his ’77 Pontiac Trans Am, “Smokey and the Bandit,” and his wife was showing her red ’53 Chevy pickup. Gene won the F-Body award, by the way. As a registered participant, you got a raffle ticket to be placed in a box for the drawing to represent Kentucky at the Columbus, Ohio, show. While brush-hogging one his fields two weeks later, Gene got a call from California, and he let it go to voicemail, thinking it was just another telemarketer. Later that day, he checked his messages and, to his surprise, one…
