But, adding a copy of F&HE to the mix is one of my favourite ways to treat myself. So, a big thank you to the F&HE team for an amazing magazine that works for my time out, inspiration for yummy meals and just a great read overall! There really is something to be said for the tactile therapy of flicking through paper pages. Nicole du Plooy, Durban cream OF THE CROP Before my ice cream business, Tapi Tapi, was featured in F&HE’s January 2020 issue, I was not familiar with…

1 FEBRUARY WORCESTER Don your best weekend outfit and move to the beat of Afrikaans music legend Theuns Jordaan – who boasts six solo albums and sales of more than 1,5 million – at the annual Summer Picnic Concert at Overhex Wines International. You can sing along to Theuns’s most popular songs, which include Vreemde Stad, Seisoen and Tjailatyd, while enjoying great food and a glass of Mensa wine. Just like the famous balladeer’s laid-back songs, Mensa wines are closely aligned to storytelling, making them the perfect accompaniment to Theuns’s music. Consisting of a refreshing sauvignon blanc, a delicious chardonnay pinot noir and a full-bodied cabernet sauvignon, the Mensa range makes for perfect outdoor wines with their easy-twist Helix cork closures that open and reseal wine without a corkscrew.
