Summer is a time to kick off our shoes and run barefoot outside, plan gatherings and parties around celebrations such as anniversaries, weddings, and graduations, and it's a time of creating memories to share over dinners for years to come. HOW CAN $20 CHANGE YOUR SUMMER? I'm not sure about everyone else, but for the last two years I have really fine tuned my DIY skills. In the past year from 2020 to 2021, I have been pushing my creative side and forced myself to move most of my projects from my Pinterest board, “things I’ll likely never make” to the board, “I don’t need a man.” There were many successes and even more laughs from failed projects. Welcome Summer! Summer is my favorite season. I love the warm, beachy weather, picnics, BBQ’s, bonfires and all the wonderful outdoor dining options. It is also a season for more relaxed dining. Many of our warm weather menus call for finger foods. I thought it would be a great time to review some etiquette rules regarding eating with your fingers because, yes, sometimes it is perfectly proper to use your fingers! Foods generally considered as finger foods include: • Barbeque Ribs• Fried chicken, turkey or other fowl on the bone (if served in a casual setting otherwise use a knife and fork)• Small fruit such as grapes, apricots, cherries, strawberries or other berries, apples, bananas, nuts• Pickles• Artichokes• Melon, depending on how it is served• Corn on the Cob• Bacon• French Fries…
