SARAH FEATHERSTONE / ARCHITECT Sarah is one half of the design duo behind Featherstone Young, which has, since its foundation in 2002, gained several awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects. Her approach to design is a sympathetic and sustainable one, focusing on houses that last and also feed the environment around them. This is certainly true of the house featured in this issue from page 184. Sarah studied at what was then Kingston Polytechnic, where she was inspired by the teaching of Kath Shonfield and Jeremy Till, whom she credits with helping her to develop her interest in socially orientated design.
