Stitching Together
No-one would argue that there are some things that are best enjoyed alone but not many of us would count our embroidery as one. Visiting an exhibition, shopping for needlework supplies, learning a new technique in a class or working on a project; all of these things are much more fun when shared with a friend. Many of us are lucky to have a group to stitch with, perhaps a branch of the embroiderers’ guild, another organised stitching group or a few friends who get together when they can. Some even have the chance to pack their bags, hop on a plane and gather with several hundred others to indulge in a week of embroidery classes at a needlework convention like Beating Around the Bush.
