you are incredible

LAND Rover owners are incredible people. Take the owner of the 6x6 Defender on our cover, Stephen Elliot, as an example. When I met him my first thought was what a jovial chap. Then when he started to tell me about why he bought the 6x6, to help him fulfil his quest of visiting every one of the 193 countries on the planet earth, I was seriously impressed. Stephen looks like the landlord at your local who pulls you a pint. He may not have the pedigree or background of a Bear Grylls or a Sir Ran Fiennes yet he has been to more countries than them and probably had more fun along the way. He still has all of his fingers and toes and says that at no stage…

the electrified series iia

EVERRATI Automotive Limited, a leading tech company who specialise in future-proofing automotive icons through the integration of electric powertrains, has been working its magic once again and this time it’s a Land Rover Series IIA. Incorporating a brand-new EV powertrain, uniquely designed and developed at Everrati’s base in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire, the company has also seen fit to meticulously restore the car’s body and chassis – down to the last component – and future proof it, too (having gone through a protective zinc process). The wheels have been upgraded as well, and are available in a range of colours; all are fitted with Michelin tyres, selected for performance and durability. Back to that powertrain (which is fully reversible by the way)… The state-of-the-art 60 kWh battery pack provides 150 bhp and a…

kahn’s latest creation

AFZAL Kahn has made a bit of a name for himself – he’s the man behind the Chelsea Truck Company, the creator of highly bespoke, swanky Land Rover Defenders. The all-new 90 is the latest subject of his showmanship and it’s called the First Edition. The range of enhancements includes Eiger Grey metallic livery, restyled bumpers, grille and mud flaps, wheel cover, bonnet decal set, chrome lettering, front headlamp surrounds and heavy-duty forged alloy wheels. A Kahn quad performance exhaust system ensures it sounds as good as it looks. Inside, quilted red leather adorns the seats, door armrests, centre glove box, and well, just about everything! But if that’s not to your taste don’t worry as the Chelsea Truck Company can colour-match pretty much anything – inside and out. Available in petrol and…

off-roading to a new level

FOR those of you who haven’t seen the new Bond film, make sure you point your browser to, which shows a Range Rover Sport SVR playing a key sequence in No Time To Die. In fact there’s a pair of them and they take part in an epic all-terrain chase, led by Oscar-winning special effects and action vehicles supervisor Chris Corbould. The SVRs feature the same specially tuned suspension as production models devised by engineers at Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations to deliver more responsive handling and tighter body control and are fitted with Gloss Black 22 inch alloy wheels and the optional Carbon Pack. You can get the look here but it’ll cost you almost £11,500 extra – but then if you can afford £113,340 for the…

show success

ORE4x4 UK’s debut appearance at the LRO Show 2021 went better than they could have ever imagined thanks to a brand-new range of products seeing visitors flock to their stand. MD Chris McCormack said: “We’re completely blown away from the response at the show. It was great to see so many of our fellow enthusiasts and I lost track within a few hours of the number of people who approached us and complimented the quality of our products, the durability of the powder-coating and stories of ORE products that still look new after years of off-road usage.” ORE look forward to attending more shows in the future, so if you do spot them pop over and say hello and see if they live up to the hype!…
