AMERICAN CHASSIS ALL AMERICAN CHASSIS IS NOW OFFERING CHASSIS FOR 1955-’59 GM TRUCKS FOR CUSTOMERS WHO WANT TO RUN COILOVERS OR AIRBAGS. All chassis are fabricated and boxed using 3/16-inch steel. The airbag chassis will lay out on a 32-inch-tall tire at the rear, 30 inches for the front. Front wheels can either be 8.5 inches wide with a 5.750-inch backspacing or 9 inches wide with a 6-inch backspacing. It has a 6-inch ride height and lays true frame rail. It also has a 60-inch hub mounting face to hub mounting face (track width). TRUE BARNYARD FINDS JUST DON’T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN ANYMORE. Unfortunately, it is becoming more and more difficult to find those tucked-away gems that have been hiding away for many years. Stephen Williams of Allardt, Tennessee, got lucky. He came across a pretty unique barn find in December 2018. Stephen has always liked older trucks and vehicles. “I would have to attribute that to my dad and my papa Clyde,” Stephen says. “I actually have a couple of Polaroid photos of the trucks they used to have. They were ’64-’66 body styles. They were always trading them and always had one around.” Fortunately, Stephen was fortunate enough to save this ’64 Chevrolet C10 from being destroyed.
