I know many of you love our regular features, but fear not: we’ve reinvented them, made them even better and added in a host of new ideas to entertain and inspire you (plus the odd little surprise treat). I do love a loaf cake, and this salted caramel beauty, by food editor Jen, is not only entry-level in its simplicity (great to make with kids, in other words), but it also keeps well. VEGGIE RECIPE Roasted tomatoes with tagliatelle and burrata Serves 2Hands-on time 15 minOven time 30 min MAKE AHEAD Roast the tomatoes up to 2 days ahead. Keep covered and chilled, then reheat gently to serve. FLAVOUR BOOST Add a small splash of balsamic vinegar or sherry vinegar to the roasted tomatoes at the end of step 1 for an extra hit of flavour. • 2 shallots, finely sliced• 4 garlic cloves, unpeeled• 500g heritage tomatoes, halved if large• 4 tbsp olive oil, plus extra to drizzle (optional)• 250g fresh tagliatelle (or 150g dried)• 100g ball burrata• Small handful fresh basil leaves 1 Heat the oven to 180°C fan/ gas 6.
