The food issue
Throughout history, food has been the focal point for social events, family gatherings and even the basis for trade or business. It’s also a big component of healthy lifestyle changes. Essentially, what we eat can either provide or diminish the nutrients we need to survive. Proper nutrition leads to energy for activity, physical and mental growth, as well as all functions of the body. According to corestaurant.org, there are approximately 12,000 eating and drinking locations in Colorado—and even more impressive is that more than 75% of our state’s restaurants are independently owned and operated. Whoa! This is great news (and something that has certainly put Denver on the map in recent years) but it does make our job much harder when food is the topic we’re writing about. So, how did…
