PIA MARSH Writer Pia is a freelance journalist and writer, with a background in newspapers and food and travel journalism. Originally from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, she has lived in Denmark, England and Sweden, before finally settling in Copenhagen – her favourite little hub in the universe. Her work has been published in The Copenhagen Post, SAS and Scandinavian Traveler, and she is currently collaborating with Al Jazeera. RAJVEER JOHAL Photo Series Based in Sydney, you’ll most likely find Rajveer near a coastline. She has won a devoted online following and client base for her bright, bird’s-eye view shots of some of the world’s most majestic offerings – Bondi Beach’s iconic rock pool, for example, and the colourful coastline of Positano, Italy. from the editor

As I sit here thinking about how to sum up an entire month’s worth of work – 144 pagesworth, including a shoot and cover story with the inimitable Jamie Oliver – I keep coming up short. Instead, all I can think of are these words from Rahaf Harfoush (p. 28), who worked on Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign: “Creativity needs space and distance, and productivity is all about continuous output. Have you ever admired someone from a distance, and then met them and been disappointed? Have you followed someone closely on social media, only for their real-life character to not quite match their online ‘persona’? Since well…

SPOTLIGHT OUR PAGES INSPIRED RACHEL TO START HER OWN STATIONERY AND LETTERING COMPANY, HUNTING LOUISE I picked up my first copy of Collective Hub a few months before launching Hunting Louise – a studio and online store specialising in wedding and event stationery, hand lettering and design. I was drawn to the focus on real people living real stories, both in and beyond my field. I love reading the journeys of fellow business owners, leaders and creatives; the ups and downs of owning and running a business. To me, the journey is just as important as the end goal – it’s your point of difference and the personality behind your brand. The stories in Collective Hub remind me of this. Reading about those that push the envelope and go against the norm…

SavourLife, a family-owned business, is here to help, with 50 per cent of profits from each of their dog treats going to pet rescue organisations that are dedicated to rehoming animals but don’t have resources like the RSPCA. Now that’s something…
