welcome

www.hifichoice.co.uk Issue No. 449 May 2019 Vinyl may be the format grabbing the headlines and encouraging music fans to embrace all things analogue following this year's Record Store Day which took place on Saturday April 13, but there are also plenty of remarkable things happening in the world of digital audio. The digital music landscape has changed significantly in recent years and instead of downloads dominating the way we listen to music, streaming has become the go-to way to access millions of tracks via pay-for services from the likes of Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz and Tidal, to name a few. HF and MF attenuators are located on the upper left of the front baffle. The slightly offset bass driver below has a 300mm white pulp cone…

Is there a specific decade that produced more memorable hits than others? The sixties or maybe the eighties… surely not the nineties… In an effort to find out the answer to this most perplexing of problems, a research team from New York University's cognitive psychology department recently carried out a study with some 630 participants. The result was a paper entitled Who Remembers The Beatles? The Collective Memory Of Popular Music. Those that want to drill down into the finer details of the data can do so at bit.ly/2CG8XsA. But for everyone else here's a summary of what the decidedly dry report…
