what i’m into this month 1 The new collection we’ve designed for Lights & Lamps (top right and on page 48). I particularly love the Spanish marble lamp bases in strong, earthy browns. 2 My new bar stools from Cox & Cox – one of the last finishing touches for my kitchen. 3 Zoffany’s True Matt paint range – it really doesn’t scuff! I just finished reading Rodham, Curtis Sittenfeld’s 2020 novel imagining an alternate reality in which Hillary Clinton never married Bill. INVESTMENT PIECE top table A glorious composition of materials and structures, the Pilar dining table is a nest of wooden cylinders placed at varying heights, topped with tempered transparent glass fixed on metal plates in brushed anthracite. The cylinders, which come in a mix of wood finishes and can also be matt lacquered in a selection of colours, are linked together by a central metal joint creating a modern sculpture.
