Editor @pip.rich Am I about to be the first person to wish you a Merry Christmas this season? Quite possibly and, even by my standards, I’ll admit this salutation is a bit early (and I’m someone who has been buying mince pies since mid September). But I’m so looking forward to the festivities that I think we should kick them off sooner rather than later. I’m clinging to the ‘Christmas as cashmere’ mantra I spoke about last year. Warm, luxe, comforting, familiar and – above all else – special. It’s a vibe that doesn’t need a lot to make it work. Like our cover, it can just be some twinkly candles, pine cones and a platter of poached pears. Or, of course, you could go all-out like the well-dressed house on page…
