While browsing the domain of social media – not something I do very often, it has to be said – I came across a posting which listed the most common mistakes that modellers make. The content was really interesting, but it did start me wondering… With age and experience, we’re supposed to acquire a degree of wisdom (or so they say). One of the best lessons I’ve learnt over the years is to stop caring about making mistakes, whether that be in terms of modelling, or life in general. Indeed, it has been a most liberating experience, as the fear of doing something wrong can often cause us to prevaricate or avoid a task altogether. I’ve certainly made many mistakes over the years, but I’ve usually learnt important lessons along the way.…
