Playboy Sweden

November 2019

Playboy has unveiled the latest creative evolution of the brand with its re-focused principles that are core to our philosophy and also includes more provocative pictorials. Last year, we removed explicit nudity, but from here on out, it is freedom of choice and personal expression that our fans will experience once again within the pages of the magazine. Playboy remains committed to its award-winning mix of long-form journalism, interviews and fiction and has recently brought back some of its familiar franchises, such as Playboy’s Party Jokes, Playboy Cartoons, World of Playboy, and the debut of the Heritage section. ATIBA JEFFERSON For Man in His Domain, the L.A.-based lifestyle photographer shadowed Keith Hufnagel, the skate mogul behind HUF, to capture his relationship with the streets of San Francisco. “I’ve looked up to Hufnagel since I was a kid and have had the opportunity to photograph him several times,” says Jefferson, who contributes to Thrasher magazine and whose clients have included Nike, Supreme and the L.A. Lakers. “I see him as both a hero and an old friend.” DR. CHRIS DONAGHUE The goal of this issue’s Playboy Advisor? To remind us that sex is supposed to be fun. The Loveline host and author of Rebel Love: Break the Rules, Destroy Toxic Habits and Have the Best Sex of Your Life says, “Our culture is extremely pleasurephobic. What’s more, capitalist culture tells us our…

behind the lens

It’s easy to become so entranced by the women who appear in our pages that you may not always consider the visual artists behind the images. But you should. These photographers are helping to evolve what we internally refer to as “the Playboy gaze”; they’re the curators of our representations of beauty, arousal and eroticism. It’s no coincidence that our contributing photographers include creatives who challenge tired, sexist standards of beauty throughout their portfolios. This is especially true of our Playmate photographers, whose charge is to make their subjects feel simultaneously comfortable, sexy and in command. We’re proud to recognize the powerful women responsible for this issue’s Playmate pictorials. Ali Mitton, who last photographed April 2019 Playmate Fo Porter, flew with Hilda Dias Pimentel to Majorca, Spain, where the October Playmate…

track your fitness!

Fitbit Charge 3 Fitbit has become the go-to manufacturer for fitness trackers and it’s not hard to see why. The Charge 2 device was fantastic and now with the third iteration, the company has refined its flagship tracker. With a more lightweight design and a sleeker overall look, and a bigger and clearer display than its rivals, the Fitbit Charge 3 offers large amounts of insight into your overall health. Sadly it’s still a black and white screen and there is no sign of the much-requested onboard GPS, but as before syncing up to your phone solves that conundrum. If you enjoy the whole Fitbit app and experience and would also like access to notifications and Fitbit’s fantastic sleep tracking, you’ll want to opt for this as it’s one of the…

Describe yourself in three words Hippie. Lover. Artist. Were you excited to shoot for Playboy? I was ecstatic! It has been my dream to be published in Playboy since I was a little girl! I used to steal my father’s magazines and I wanted to grow up to be a Playboy model. I was amazed that women could be photographed naked. I found it to be very liberating. What was it like starting out as a model? It was very interesting. I began my journey as a fetish model, so I got to work with a variety of quirky and eclectic individuals. It was a very enlightening and mind opening experience, and it was fun because there are so many different fetishes that exist in the world! What would you consider to be your biggest challenge…

wits and giggles

It’s the bared teeth. Slightly yellow but still gleaming between the candy-apple lips. Clenched and hungry. Ruthless. You wouldn’t call the Joker’s expression a smile — not unless you were kidding yourself. There’s agony in the villain’s bloodthirsty grin. There’s rage behind the eyes, battling against the pain for dominance. Maybe there’s a smear of satisfaction — let’s face it, the man loves his work — but he isn’t necessarily happy. He’s ferocious. In the nearly eight decades since he began menacing the good people of Gotham City, the Joker has taken on many identities, worn many faces and had many names. Just like the devil himself. Still, for all his varying origin stories, he’s instantly recognizable, and not just for the green hair, pale skin and purple suits. All Jokers share an…
