Let Love Rule. I think Lenny Kravitz was on to something when he penned this classic in 1988 (it’s still a fave on my playlist!). And, following last year’s momentous decision in favour of gay marriage, thankfully Australia can now support all couples to let their love rule. Heck, yes! Excitingly, our first issue since the plebiscite also includes our first-ever same-sex real wedding. And, in an extra-special twist, it just happens to be the wedding of my dear friend Barbara and her sweetheart Ana, who married in a complete #weddinggoals kind of celebration in Byron Bay (see p.129). It was truly an honour to attend and be part of such a beautiful day. In fact, we feel extremely privileged to share in so many wonderful local love stories. Our inboxes…

the qb team

QB VINTAGE We’re loving neon in 2018 and it seems we were fans of it 10 years ago, too – that logo! In keeping with our super-bright theme, our Summer 2008/09 cover girl has become a bright star herself and is currently making it big in America’s fashion world. Shout-out to Insta-star and model, Hannah Glasby! FROM HERE TO MATERNITY Aw, just in the knick of time before going to print, we’re thrilled to announce the safe arrival of our art director’s bub, Harvey John. Alissa and her lovely husband, Sean, welcomed their little one into the world two weeks earlier than expected, right as Alissa was meant to be enjoying some well-deserved down-time after putting in the hard yards to get this issue out! Best of luck to you both – we…

chic happens

COOL BABY, COOL If there’s one bridal accessory that’s made it big in 2018, it’s jackets – and we adore this super-sweet faux leather cover-up from designer Jenny Packham! Hand-painted with cute pastel motifs such as wedding bells, lucky horseshoes, dream homes, stars and lovebirds, the biker style jacket is just the right amount of playful for an off-beat bridal look. All you need now is an old-school Harley Davidson for your exit! jennypackham.com GODDESS GEAR When we saw a bride wear these babies at her wedding it had us all sitting up and saying, ‘Hey now!’ With eye-catching wing-inspired detail, the Cruel heel from celeb designer Giuseppe Zanotti makes a serious statement when you walk down the aisle. We’re getting some real Wonder Woman vibes… giuseppezanotti.com BESPOKE BEAUTIES Super-cool Aussie jewellery label Sarah &…
