snow very merry

Who says snowmen can’t have friends too? This jolly fellow has scooped up his sweet kitten chum for a cuddle and the two look like they’ll be lifelong pals, whatever the season! There’s so much to enjoy about this sentimental scene by Margaret Sherry, from the cosily wrapped up snowman and his bright red nose, to the little ginger kitten with Margaret’s characteristic whiskers on display. Using just a few fractionals alongside whole stitches and backstitch in both one and two strands, this design is accessible for all and provides a fast finish. If you’ve not tried fractionals before, just practise on a piece of scrap fabric before you start – you’ll be a pro in no time! There’s 18 wonderful wintry thread shades to play with and the light blue…

your letters

Star Letter FURRY TALES FAMILY My mum, Lesley Phelan, is a huge fan of Lucie Heaton’s ‘Furry Tales’ collection. She has been stitching along with countless issues of the magazine and has enjoyed seeing many new projects come to life. She’s recently been ill in hospital and unable to walk but has finally got around to putting some of the mice projects into frames. It would be great if she could be mentioned in your magazine, I know that would make her very happy after going through such a rough time with having to have surgery on her knee. Catherine Giles, via email Hannah F: What a fab set, Lesley! They look great framed like this too. We hope you continue to enjoy adding to the collection and thanks for sharing this with us,…
