Despite the threat of summer heat and weeks of rain storms, hundreds of people turned out for the monthly car show at our St. Petersburg, Florida headquarters, and as the morning played out, it was clear that the risk was worth it. In 2014, the owner of this Porsche 918 Spyder came up with the idea of honoring the legendary Porsche 917K that donned the Gulf Livery. This idea came to be a one-off reality that is now gracing the cover of this issue. Initially, the owner set out to have a Red Martini Livery Porsche 918 Spyder, a respectable choice.
