Fieldwork On September 22, a midcareer retrospective of Tara Donovan’s work opens at MCA Denver. Fieldwork celebrates the artist’s distinct and varied practice, and it will occupy the entire museum. Donovan is known for transformations of neutral or mundane materials like drinking straws, rubber bands and index cards. The exhibition remains on view through January 27, 2019. Town Enclosure A temporary public art sculpture titled Town Enclosure has opened in The Center Park, Jackson, Wyoming. Designed by Carney Logan Burke Architects, it will be on view for one year with the intention of drawing people into the park and providing a platform for creative expression. One of the highlights of the Boston art world is the Boston International Fine Art Show. Well-known for its diversity in art style and time periods covered, as well as its approachable nature, the show is enjoyed by both new and seasoned collectors alike. After taking a one-year hiatus in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Art Market Productions will present its most robust edition of its modern and contemporary Texas Contemporary art fair. Now in its seventh year, the show will feature more than 75 galleries from around the world to mark “considerable growth” from its previous outings. The event will run October 4 to 7, with its Opening Night Preview on October 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. Exhibitors in the fair will include Claire Oliver Gallery, La Sala Art Gallery, QingYunGe Gallery, Chloe Gallery and Arcadia Contemporary, to name a few.
