Huge congratulations to all the winners of our Design & Innovation Awards (page 32). The ceremony was held in Cortina, Italy, in late January and saw a who’s who of superyachting gather to learn who’d picked up one of the coveted golden Neptunes. One of the most eye-catching winners was White Rabbit, the novel new 276ft trimaran. You can read at length why the judges singled her out on page 90, but in brief it’s because she can achieve the same top speed as a similar-sized monohull using considerably less power. This is obviously a huge advantage, but what are the downsides to this hull form? We looked hard and couldn’t find any, except one: she will never charter, so others won’t get to appreciate the benefits of three hulls…
