As this issue goes to press Hurricane Dorian is sitting over the Bahamas dealing untold damage to person and property. The images and videos coming out are harrowing and our thoughts are obviously with all those affected. We’re already hearing of yachts heading to the region packed with relief supplies. A hat tip to the great organization YachtAid Global and the owner and crew of 155ft motor yacht Loon, which is leading the first convoy to the worst-hit areas carrying aid and relief personnel. The superyacht community is at its best when responding so quickly to events such as Dorian, often arriving before the emergency services.
