how to complete minecraft

MINECRAFT’S QUEST If you’re looking to beat Minecraft, we’re going to assume you know the basics and tell you only what you NEED to do. Along the way, you might face challenges and threats we don’t talk about here, and while they might make beating the game easier, they’re strictly optional! And how do you beat the game? Well, you must journey from the Overworld to the End in search of the terrifying ender dragon, and slay it so you can return home. Sounds simple, right? STEP ONE: PREPARATION Before you start, take care of the basics. You’ll need a good food supply, plus strong tools, armour and weapons – ideally made of diamond and maybe even enchanted. You should also have a well-defended base (with a bed) that you know how to find.…

minecraft dungeons

Remember last year’s Minecon Earth? One of the many surprises that Mojang dropped during its annual showcase of all things Minecraft was the existence of a brand new game! What we knew back then was that it was multiplayer, was called Minecraft Dungeons and, well, not a lot more than that! More details have now been released, so let’s take a look! THE BASICS The simple idea behind Minecraft Dungeons is that you and your party hack and slash your way through a world packed with danger! It’s got the look of an old-style arcade game, with all players on the same screen at the same time. Whilst you can also play the game by yourself, it looks like it will be a lot of fun to have a few friends round,…

item of the month

COLLECTING EGGS There are two ways to collect eggs: from chickens that have laid them or from village chests. One adult chicken will lay an egg every 5-10 minutes, as long as the player is close enough to the chicken for the game to consider it active. Eggs can also be found in the chests of a village fletcher (after all, they need the chickens for feathers to make arrows!), with 23.3% of fletcher chests having eggs in stacks of 1-3. USING EGGS Eggs have two main uses: as a way to spawn chickens when you don’t have any to breed, or as an ingredient in food-based recipes. If an egg’s thrown, it will break when it hits something. There’s a one in eight chance that an egg will spawn a baby chicken…
