HUGH SOHN, CHIEF SUB EDITOR 1) Tom Daley would not be allowed to wear any clothing in public. 2) Any time Tom Holland steps out the door, he must be naked. 3) And, oddly, Michael Cera. Perv? Me? Bloody cheek... CLIFF JOANNOU, EDITOR 1) Mariah would have to stop chasing celebrity and go back to making decent music. 2) It’s not allowed to rain when I go outside. Umbrellas are so annoying. 3) Carbs and cheese wouldn’t make you fat. Basically, pizza would be super-healthy. As would those hot melted cheese croissants from Pret. 4) I’d change laws whenever it suited my maniacal desires, starting with the one telling me to only cite three laws LEE DALLOWAY, WRITER/JOURNALIST 1) That you have to have half a brain/be an actual human being/not be evil to run…

a letter from the editor-in-chief

We’ve stopped short of creating a strict “world” theme for the issue, mainly because the world is such a big place and the issues affecting LGBT+ people are so varied that we could never do this justice. I also don’t want the challenges faced by LGBT+ people in different parts of the world to be ghettoised in one single issue of Attitude. Many of the subjects explored you’ll have seen discussed in previous issues — and we’ll return to some of them in the future. That being said, grouping so many features with an international outlook together in one issue does offer a different perspective on the gay experience — and one which sends out a clear message. In his interview, South African singer and actor Nakhane complains about feeling patronised by…

{ FASHION } AUTOGRAPH HUNTER David Gandy and Autograph have held all the aces in the sleepwear pack for a long time now (it totally helps that Gandy squeezes in his muscley bod into the range every season). Now, for David Gandy for Autograph Autumn-Winter, he’s lounging around in a cabin, in bed, and with a dog (pass the fan), all the while wearing the latest collection, which includes soft-to-the-touch sleepwear in fabrics such as cashmere and velour. They come in mauve and grey, as well as some subtle stripes and geometric prints. Understated and beautiful, just like the man himself. marksandspencer.com { THEATRE } STRANGER THING Moving to the big city is a daunting thing, especially at 16. Tommy Murphy’s Strangers in Between tells the story of young Shane as he flees his rural…

terrell carter

With season four of smash TV show Empire well under way, we can’t keep our eyes off newest series regular Terrell Carter. He first showed up on the hit drama as a guest character in season three, playing gay love interest Warren, and has been bumped up to a cast regular for the current run, which premiered in September. The 6ft 5in demigod, originally from Buffalo, New York, blasted on to American prime-time TV back in September 2011 when he made judge Paula Abdul blush with his silky velvet tones on the US version of The X Factor. However, he had already had some success, appearing in Diary of a Mad Black Woman in 2005, and, although his singing career was abruptly cut short, he went on to play policeman…
