CLASSIC TV TREASURES GO UP FOR AUCTION
In 1989, James Comisar purchased his first piece of TV memorabilia — two hand-painted title cards from The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Since then, he’s acquired more than 10,000 items from some of the small screen’s most beloved and iconic shows. “I like to concentrate on the historic value of these TV treasures,” says Comisar, who is selling an array of his prized possessions through Heritage Auctions on June 2-4.
