Fast-forward to 2019 and I’m proud to be part of a giveaway that will hopefully do the same for other wannabe producers and recordists – with this mag, you get an exclusive free version of Tracktion “A virtual studio packed with the power of a product worth hundreds of pounds” Waveform, a…

Loopmasters Loopcloud 5 A new subscription model heralds big things for the audio manager/editor Aggressive development of Loopmasters’ Loopcloud sample management, purchasing and editing application continues apace with the release of version 5, not even six months after the introduction of the hugely impressive v4.0. While that previous update added – amongst other things – the excellent Loop Editor, enabling slicing and rearrangement of loops for auditioning via the Loopcloud plugin and drag-and-drop export, Loopcloud 5 introduces a completely new interface with a compact view (“ideal for split-screen use”), and a number of potentially transformative new features, most of which require one of three tiered subscriptions (€6.99, €10.99 or €19.99/ month) to take full advantage of – or use at all. Perhaps the most immediately impressive improvements are the Sample Editor’s new Pitch tool,…
