We have infused the whole magazine with a whiff of heritage, from the news and shopping pages – Passion for Pattern shows classic designs that are still on the roll – to the Dream Sitting Room by Veere Greeney in a Lutyens home. ‘EVERYONE desires to make their home as comfortable, tasteful and convenient as means will allow; and it will be the endeavour of this magazine to help towards that end.’ Such was the promise made in the first issue of Our Homes and Gardens in June 1919.
